Philosophy

Leathers are one of the few long lasting natural materials which age with grace and in time grows with character. You’re strolling along a market in France and suddenly you see the corner of something. It catches your eye; A brown old piece of leather which intrigues you. You remove a few things to find an old vintage bag, a suitcase, a pair shoes or perhaps a belt. It’s like finding an old hidden diary from the past. A treasure; you look at it, knowing you’ve found something special; you pick it up with respect, as you know it has belonged to somebody else, and you’re just the lucky person to discover this unique story. This fascination, respect and passion for leathers, vintage, high quality and shapes, is the backbone and soul of Royal RepubliQ. This keeps us doing our outmost to create new shoes, bags, belts which will start their own life, and begin a new story to be told in years to come. The higher quality - the longer and the better the story it will be... For each product only full grain and A-grade leathers are used, and designs are inspired from interior, architecture and vintage. All made by skilled craftsmen, our products balance between casual and the sophisticated, from Denim to semi fashion, with an international touch and Scandinavian lines. Our roots are in the Royal Monarchy of Denmark, and we’re proud of our ancient heritage and history, our old costumes from the days of the Vikings to Hamlet - BUT we still have the restless nature and spirit of the pioneer; always in pursuit for new frontiers and opportunities - being individual, free of mind and boundaries - believing in our aims of life, and each single individual - being RepubliQ.
